I share these magnets with a group of psychology graduate students and we have SO much fun with them! A few more prepositions, pronouns, etc. would be useful, but there are some blank magnets that we use for those purposes.

We bought this magnet set for our (dysfunctional but lovable) would-be therapist nephew... what a waste. First off, can we talk about the QUALITY of this thing? The words on the magnets for the most part cut into the tear-off points...so that some magnets have missing letters! I guess its pretty inexpensive, but it was so worthless. It's impossible to create coherent sentences, and some of the word choices seem ridiculous. I wouldn't buy it again. Total waste of money.

These magnets are really strong I took it to school and when u combine dumb friends with strong magnet u know the outcome my friends were hurting them selfs i was the smart one and i put it in my pocket and drag desks away these are dangerous if u are not smart

This product is exactly what it claims to be, a small block of metal that is an extremely powerful magnet. Take note of the pulling force of this magnet. Think of it as a 145lbf weight that you are trying to lift. It has a very strong attractive force, but its range is very small. It is attractive up to about two inches away from itself. Anything further out it has no effect on. When it is within this range, as other reviews have stated BEWARE! It will smash anything that gets in its way. My purpose for this product was to use it as a securing mount for a machete that I carry when hiking. The machete hangs from a clip on my belt and I was annoyed with it banging against my leg as I walked and climbed. I slipped this magnet in my cargo pocket and it now stays securely on my leg. The magnet was too strong at first, so I wrapped it in a layer of duct tape and fashioned a .5 in. thick eraser to it. This reduced its strength enough to allow the knife to stay against my leg until I give it a tug to remove it. Yes it seems like a lot of effort, but oh well.

I made the mistake of getting 2 of these magnets. If one has a 146 lb pull then 2 together must be about twice the pull, at least they are to try to pull them apart. I've been accused of either gluing or soldering them together. Trouble is I can't get them apart. The first time they flew together my finger was in the middle. Before I got my finger out it had pinched and pulled about a quarter inch of skin with a little meat off.

useless for me,,..to danger for play.. caution:this item is not a toy!! i suggest to buy this item on purpose only.

This is the strongest magnet I have ever encountered that's not an electro magnet. If it's on a piece of steel it is difficult to pry it off. I don't think a child would be strong enough to separate it from whatever it is attached. If you want a very very strong magnet, look no further!

From what I can gather, these are the strongest magnets that civilians can get a hold of. So how strong are they, you ask? Let's just say that these neodymium super stars come separated for good reason. If a couple of these magnets make contact with each other, a person of average strength may not be able to pull the two apart. If snapped together around the fingers, these magnets can easily injure somebody. In the wrong hands, these can become instant death to any electronic device. There is one drawback to the 4" X 1" x 1/2" neodymium magnets. Compared to the typical black magnets that you'd get at a hardware store, these do chip and scar more easily. While these bad boys are magnetically stronger, they're structurally weaker. It's kind of ironic, isn't it? What does anybody really need a magnet this strong for? Such magnets could clean-up metal scraps or harvest magnetite from sand dunes. Such power could also keep a metal gate closed. They have dozens of applications and chances are that if you're reading these words, you've found one of those odd jobs for super magnets. Fortunately, Applied Magnets (the seller), offers a wide variety of shapes and sizes. These magnets deliver super power strength at a great value.

My use was unusual - to hold closed a wooden slat door in all kinds of weather. I'm surprised at the strength of this and am sure it will work (haven't yet used it for that purpose, but everyone gets a kick out of it when they try to remove it from my refridgerator). It's very strong, and can be dangerous if not handled properly.

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge nerd. This magnet is awesome! It is the most powerful permanent magnet that I have ever seen. We have used it to erase hard drives while they are running at work, and that was pretty awesome. I also put a plastic sandwich bag over it and used it to pick up metal shavings in my garage. It works very well for that. Make sure you do not get your fingers in between this magnet and a ferrous metal. It will pinch them bad, if not off.

First of all, please excuse my non-technical review. I'm not a physicist nor am I any sort of magnet expert. I'm just a guy who's curious about magnets and wanted some strong ones to play around with. I just bought 2 of these and I don't think I've ever felt a magnet as powerful as this. I had a hard time getting into the packaging and thought, "what's all the fuss about"? When I finally got to the magnets, they were separated by wood and I thought, "Oh come on...that's a bit much". Then I tried to separate them and immediately learned why the packaging was so much. These are really strong, powerful magnets and I've pinched myself many times already and I just opened them about 3 hours ago. I then got them stuck together, without the wood, and I'm not sure how to get them apart yet. I can only twist them a fraction of an inch and there's absolutely no way I can just pull them apart. I'm going to have to twist and pry them apart because the attraction is so incredibly strong. Regarding the seller (Applied Magnets), the shipping was fast and the transaction was simple. This is a good seller and an excellent product.

These magnets are the real deal. I purchased them to be used as stud finders and they work beyond my imagination. Not only are they strong enough to hang on the wall by themselves when over a screw head, but they are strong enough to find a metal stud and hang on the wall, pulling through 5/8" of drywall. I bought these magnets just for fun. These are much more powerful then I had imagined when I ordered them. I keep them attached to a wall in my office. Since they can effect hard drives and many other pieces of electronic equipment it makes storing them a very thought out consideration or even where you play with them. I have played with them several times and they are really amazing and well worth the money I spent. I'm sure I will find new ways to play with them from time to time for the rest of my life. If you enjoy playing with something cool and are intrigued by the mystical power of magnetism, these will satisfy.

These bar magnets are amazingly strong. We got them for homeschool science and my son has really enjoyed doing experiments with them. The only drawback I have with them is that they are so strong that it can be easy for little ones(or parents!) to get their fingers in the way of the magents trying to get together and we have both pinched our fingers a few times. :0) Also, if they get stuck to one another it is very hard to separate them. All in all though we have really enjoyed them.

Was having extreme pain from arthritis - while the knee brace didn't eliminate it, it did make it tolerable - still have to get around. Had purchased another one a long time ago for other knee, so felt it would be good.

I am an older woman with chronic knee problems. I find this brace allows me to adjust fit for each use even with arthritic hands. Wearing the brace gives me confidence to go further and do more.

Had I known, before ordering, that in order to use the microwave heat... 1 - you must BOIL WATER in the microwave - you can NOT put the gel pack in the microwave directly 2 - you place the gel pack INTO the heated water 3 - you are advised to USE TONGS to remove the gel pack from the water 4 - somehow, while handling a VERY hot gel pack you must now use your hands to stick the gel pack back into the pouch (without burning your hands? the gel pack is a VERY tight fit in the pouch) ...I would NOT have purchased this dangerous product. People make mistakes with boiling water every day and acquire severe burns. This product is going back for a refund - I'll NEVER purchase a product that requires boiling water (unless it's coffee or tea - which is dangerous enough). Hope this helps. Range

This was reasonably priced and from a name I knew but I was not impressed with the amount of cold it delivered. It only delivers heat or cold directly over the patella (knee cap) so if you need cold applied to the sides of the joint, this will not work for you. I found I had to remove the wrap after just a few minutes and flip the gel pack over as it was getting warm. Finally, I just held the cold pack to my knee as that was easier than removing the wrap from my leg, removing the gel pack from the wrap and reversing it and re-applying the wrap. The gel pack does not have sufficient mass to deliver cold for very long. I didn't try it with heat but the instructions specifically tell you not to microwave the gel pack directly. You must microwave it in a bowl of water or boil water, take it off the heat and then put the gel pack in it. This seems inconvenient.

If one is really in need of an Ice pack.. one should get a better one! I had a mild tear in my ligament, so I took a chance with this one but, it was not too long before I realized that this won't be enough! But @ $20.00 this is not as bad too!

This is my second and third bandit. My first was over 10 years ago. I injured my left elbow playing golf, and thought the bandit surly will help. Low and behold the elbow is feeling better not totally healed yet but getting better. I now have one on one in my golf bag just in case if I forgot to put it on and my old one in my bowling bag. This is by far the best product of its type. The model w/o the magnets is fine also, but I bought this because of the black color. The gold trim is a little bling-ish, but can be removed with a little nail polish remover (acetone) and a Q-tip. Excellent durability and washability along with non-constricting pressure in the right place - not a total tournaquet(yea, spell-check it!) like the others!!

Diagnosed with a slightly torn tendon I was looking for a support that would allow me to continue playing as a drummer as well as golf on a weekly basis. I've tried a variety of straps but none of them provided the needed relief. This product definitely does the trick. It's easy to put on and wear, in fact you can leave it on all day without any discomfort. The only issue I have with it is that if you're in hot/humid conditions the pads tend to get very wet, something that can be remedied by placing a small cloth under the pads. Other than that it works wonderfully.

This product would have been great, except for the use of unpadded velcro. Velcro all by itself has sharp, rough edges. Wrap some around any soft area on the body and tighten it down. Don't even have to tighten it a lot, a little will do. OK, now leave it for a half hour or more (your tolerance may vary). Eventually you will know you have velcro strapping on your arm, as it attempts to cut into your flesh. It won't cut, but that nice, thin, rough edge will become rather uncomfortable after a while. The idea is great in my opinion. I've had luck with magnets for other aches & pains, and I liked how the main pad was built and how it dampened the tendon flex. The other pad has a tendency to rest on the inside of your arm and not allow total flexing of your arm. I'm sending mine back. Traded discomfort and annoyance for some pain remediation. Not worth it. Going to look for something else. Oh, by the way. If you buy this, or anything for that matter, from "Pro Therapy Supplies" they WILL charge you a 10% restocking fee and their cost to ship the product(s) to you, if you decide to return the item.

I bought one of these and the wristband when I herniated a disc in my neck and tried everything non invasive for the pain. I did not get the surgery and now am almost pain free - did Trionz work? Who knows. As someone else said, they look cool but there must be something in having them. The Amazon purchases were replacments as they get a big sweaty after a while

I have a pinched nerve that causes pain down my left shoulder. After wearing the necklace for 1 week, the pain is gone totally and has not returned. My daughter also had a sports injury and she also is pain free after one week of use.

Not much to this product, but it is what it is. Small enough to carry in your pocket, it can help children or adults with limited "feeling vocabularies" to identify their emotions. Magnetic, you can stick it to anything metal, so it never gets lost. And cheap enough to give it away. So cheap, in fact, that I wanted to order enough to give them out to some of my patients. But no! When I tried to order 20 of them, it came up with almost $100 in shipping! I contacted the seller, and was told that this was not under his control - and that he had tried to address the problem with Amazon, without success. What's up, Amazon? Does it really cost $5 to ship this one ounce product, in bulk?

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TRUE REPRINT!!!! This reprint is not true to the original. It has no Illustrations and has been changed.

Once on PBS, I saw a program about the author who was said to have learned the secrets of the pyramids. While the book is not well written, I wanted to see if I could see something that made sense. It doesn't yet, but I'll keep trying.

This book doesn't contain ANY of the diagrams Ed created to go with the text. It's impossible to understand without them. I found a copy of them online, and it helped a LOT. A complete copy of Ed's writings & diagrams can be obtained by calling the Coral Castle cashier at: 305-248-6345

It is incredible that such an inaccurate, ill-informed and terribly written piece of junk could ever be published. The author is an unmitigated fraud and has clearly not bothered with reality. Buy the book if you have a scientific background and might enjoy a (shallow)chuckle. If is very much on a par with books about horoscopes,spirits and other silly inventions. An awful read!

i cannot believe the expert idiots,critiqueing eds understanding of physics. reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. the stupidity and ignorance of the school-university system educated is profound,and sad. but hey since they spent years to learn a dumbed down false physics,i guess i can understand. that why eds knowledge is so much superior then these clowns. god bless humble brillent ed. what a winner!

Healing with magnets is absurd. There is no scientific basis for there working and any effects anyone feels are in there mind or due to the natural ups and downs people go through in how they feel. The magnetic field laboratory in Florida has magnets that produce fields of up to 14 Tesla (a much larger field than anything in this kit can produce) and the people working there do not even notice them. Please, bring on your criticisms so I can guide you onto the right path.

It's got all the basics, how strong the magnets should be, why get a unipolar one (because the North side of the magnet is the one usually used for healing and the South pole side increases swelling, tissue acidity, promotes anxiety etc) It mentions Davis and Rawls and their studies on magnet so I will be checking their book Magnetism and Its Effects on the Living System

I have been intensely studying about magnets for over a year and found this book very beneficial. I would rate it as no. 1 or 2 of the probably 15 or more books on this subject.

Great book! Explains everything a novice can understand and put to use. Very helpful! Will keep it for reference in the future too.
