Video Comprehensive Rehabilitation Exercise - Ankle/Foot Pain [VHS] Video Comprehensive Rehabilitation Exercise - Ankle/Foot Pain [VHS]

I broke my ankle recently, and after I got the cast off, my foot, ankle and leg were weak and inflexible. I ordered this tape and two days after I started the exercises I noticed a big difference in flexibilty and had a more normal gait. I'm still working to get back to normal (it's only been 2 weeks) and I am getting a little better each day. The exercises are simple, and each one is performed so that the technique is clear.

Wellgate for Women Gel-Comfort Knee Support, 1 Size Wellgate for Women Gel-Comfort Knee Support, 1 Size

Reviews

I have arthritis in my right knee. My main form of exercise is dancing. I was looking for a support that would keep my knee comfortable as I stepped on my right foot and put weight on my right knee. This works great. I'm not small, about a size 18, and it fits me. I would give it 5 stars but it's a little bulky. But it probably would not work as well with less bulk. I recommend washing or rinsing it after each use. That helps to keep its shape.

I now own 3 sets of these supports (they are sold separately so buy 2 if you need them for both knees). They are the best knee supports that I've found for the patella/kneecap alignment problem and resulting pain that I have. I exercise in them (walking on the treadmill, weight machines, elliptical, etc.) and I have no knee pain during or afterwards. I wear them when I'm doing housework or anything where I might be getting up and down on my knees. I also wear them whenever I want some extra support for my knees (caring for my grandbabies, for example). They give me the support I need to feel comfortable carrying my little ones. I use my first set (they are pretty worn out by now) when I mow the lawn or do outdoor work where I might get dirty. My 2nd set is in our travel trailer for wearing on our camping trips to hike, etc. My newest set is for wearing to the gym and around the house. They are hand-washable so they last for a long time. The supports are so easy to put on and take off; no tugging up the leg. About the comments of one-size-fits-all on some of the other reviews: I don't know about the fit for women with very small or very large legs; mine are average and I weigh 130 lbs. I highly recommend them for any woman with kneecap pain or other knee issues.

I have just returned this product. I am 5'5" and weigh 190 lbs. According to the chart on the back of the product package this should have fit. It would not even go all the way around my knee.

I purchased this based on the reviews and the fact that many reviews said it was way to big for them which is what I need. I have a larger knee with a larger thigh and calf and thought it would work for me. I am 5'5" and weight 190 lbs. so it is definitely not suited for the larger woman (size 16-18). I feel like I need a brace that would fit a football players leg. I will have to keep looking for the right knee support.

The 1 size fits small or thin legs. Is not meant for muscular or large to extra large leg diameter.

Tandem Arch Pro Tech Tandem Arch Pro Tech

This strap is a god send. Works amazingly well. I can now tolerate standing and walking. I also wear to bed to prevent that morning pain. This is worth every penny.

I've had PF in my right foot for a year+ at this point (I waited a looong time to do anything about it), and this has been a godsend. They're basically arch supports that you don't even need shoes for. I'm a martial artist and train barefoot, which made finding supports tricky, to say the least. I wear birkenstocks most of the time, and started out wearing the Tandem Arch Pro Tech only when I was training, but pretty soon realized that it helped even when I had good support. I've worn it with all sorts of shoes (and none at all), and can comfortably wear it underneath my sock. Seriously - best thing ever. My PF is getting fairly close to being healed - I can go without supports now with much less pain, and I'm pretty good even when I first wake up (which is when PF is the worst). It didn't really start healing until I got these babies. Can't recommend them highly enough. The only thing to be aware of is that I wore the wrong one for a while (I was wearing the left one on the right foot). There's a label in them that says "right" and "left," so I just wasn't paying attention. Even wearing the wrong one was helpful though (but it's much better to wear the correct one!)

This product is a comfortable and durable way to keep the arch of the foot supported during the day. This product will keep the Fascia underneath the foot streched during the day to provide relief from Planter Fasciitis.

Nice support but I found the "PediFix Arch Bandage Support" a lot more helpful. The velcro was a little annoying and it didn't work very well with athletic shoes.

So far, I find these supports give some relief to my plantar fac. However, I ordered a medium because it was rated for women's sizes starting at size 5 (I'm an 8). I wish I had gotten a small because the strap doesn't wrap to get the tightest fit for my normal sized 8 foot (I'm not overweight, so my feet aren't wide). It works sufficiently. But the excess wrap/strap then sticks out so it's not practical for me to wear them with shoes (too much to tuck into the side - if that makes sense). I wear them around the house as much as possible though and it really does give relief to have the added arch support. Just would prefer an upgrade on design and sizing. Hope this helps!

Pro-Tec Metatarsal Lift Pads Pro-Tec Metatarsal Lift Pads

Reviews

My problem has been foot cramping between toes at night while sleeping. The cramp then wakes me up. I thought this was a symptom of Morton's Neuroma, so I tried these pads. I placed them on a flat cushioned insert (in front of the 3,4,5 toes) which then went into the shoe. Makes for slightly lumpy walking that you get used to, but from the very first night after using these during the day my foot hasn't cramped.

I may not be describing my condition properly, but as I understand it, I have deterioration in the first metatarsal joint on my right foot which caused throbbing and swelling. I tried orthotics, cortisone shots and lastly surgery, and I still had the problem. I bought these little pads and finally found relief. I tried a variety of pads and insoles with built-in metatarsal pads until I found the Pro-Tecs, and these are, by far, the best. The others either don't offer support, slide around (gel) and are just plain useless or support at first but break down quickly. These are wonderful! =)

I contacted manufacturer for proper instructions of placement for these pads in my shoe. After wearing the product for one day,my foot hurt even worse. I purchased the product hoping they would ease the Mortons Neuroma pain in my foot. This product did not work for me.

After reading the reviews, I bought these to help with a neuroma. They do seem to help. However, the package includes no information on where/how to position the pads. We had to search online to try to figure it out. Ultimately, when we went to the doctor, he told us that we had it in the wrong place and showed us how to properly position them. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of this lack of usage information. By the way, the store was great. Sent the product quicky, and with no problems.

Pro-Tec Metatarsal Lift Compression Pads I have tried many foot pads, braces, compression bands, etc. for my Morton's Neuroma, all of which had some improving effect. But these two tiny pads that I ordered have done more to improve the pain and discomfort in both my feet than any other item that I have tried. I thought at first that they were a rip-off in terms of the price I paid for them, and I was going to send them back. Then I decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. I can wear them with any shoe, including sandals. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with this condition. These provide a great relief to foot pain!!!!

Footworks II Footworks II

Reviews

As a patient who wants to understand more about my foot problems, I find Dr. O'Connor's book easy to understand, well organized, and covers a broad range of topics. There are excellent photos and drawings that illustrate each chapter plus a glossary that is very helpful to the lay person. I highly recommend this book as a reference tool to understanding your foot problems.

Author is an egomaniac typical of most orthopods. He uses outdated technology and advice given for foot deformities is definetly questionable. Better to read a book by a real foot specialist- Podiatrist.

This is a fantastic, easy-to-understand book for anyone who has foot or ankle problem and wants to learn more about their condition. I have various foot ailments, including on and off again plantar fascitis and club feet. This book, given to me by my physician, has greatly forwarded my understanding of both diseases. I highly recommend this book!

Amazon Book reviewRE: Footworks II, The Patient's Guide to the Foot and AnkleFootworks II is a welcome addition to my medical library. As a family practitioner for nearly 30 years, I regret not learning and applying the principles in Dr.'s O'Connor and Schaller's book earlier in my career. CW-X Women's Pro Tights CW-X Women's Pro Tights

CW-X Pro Tights deliver what they promise. I am recovering from a hamstring injury and the compression and muscular/tendon banding support they offer is unsurpassed. My chiropractor is even recommending them to his patients because of the support they offer. Great product! Sizing is accurate. They feel great! I acutally have now bought the shorts and the 3/4 length in the same product line. Run with them all the time now. I would definatley recommend them to a friend.

Not much to say that hasn't been written about these. I'm a big girl (6 ft tall) and a pro football player. Got these as an first layer for winter practices and preseason workouts. At first I was a little worried about the fit, but while they take time to pull on, they're amazing. I'm looking forward to getting out on the field in these babies. Bonus, they make your butt look really good!!

These tights are lovely and toasty, excellent for running in the cold. They fit great and don't migrate at all. I run hot, so I think I'd broil when it warms up again, but in the meantime these are great for running in the 30/40s. They rinse out and dry relatively quickly, so they've been indispensable for running outside in these weird weather starts to the season. I couldn't find my ID tag once so I stuck my driver's license in the gu pocket--do not recommend, it hits just at the wrong spot, so if you like to put stuff in the tiny pockets that come in running gear, you might be bummed out by this.

Not much to report - tights are great for running in cold weather. Size are true to the table given. Exactly what I ordered (and they look great!)

Pro-Tec Achilles Tendon Support Pro-Tec Achilles Tendon Support

Reviews

I'm a regular club tennis player and have had achilles tendinitis issues for a few years. So much so, that I recently consulted with a doctor about a surgical remedy. In any event, I purchased the Pro-Tec Support product and it has worked extremely well. I waited two months to write this review and have used the support three times a week. Have had no further problems! Definitely worth trying.

This brace worked perfectly to support my achilles tendons that are tight and can become VERY Painful for days in a row. It happens most when I switch from wearing my normal - high heeled shoes, sandals and boots to my bare feet, flip flops or sneakers. I've worn them in several spurts to get relief. It seems to work by slightly lifting yout instep to simulate a very slight heel instead of one's foot being flat on the floor in in the flat shoe. The velcro worked great for me and once I found my sweet spot for attachment, I was good to go. Don't forget to order two of these if both achiles are hurting.

I've been suffering chronic achilles tendinitis for more than a year due to running. I've tried with Polidocanol injection and excentric stretches. I've read a lot about this problem, and researchers agree that this problem is not well understood, so it is hard to tell which is the best treatment. Finally, I bought this achilles support and it was incredible !!!. It really worked for me. I reconize that I'm a little overweight, so running didn't help to heal my tendon, but this product decreased the pain in my feet. Of course, good stretches(excentric) and loose weight (in my case) are also welcome.

I purchased these because I had a very tight/sore achilles tendon. After 3 days of using these I had more discomfort than ever. I stopped using them and my achilles soreness improved greatly. Others have had success using this product, unfortunately that was not the case for me.

Like night and day! I have suffered from horrible achilles tendonitis for YEARS, and this is the first product that actually provided relief. As a large but extremely active lady (dance classes and martial arts six days a week!), I was fed up with being told by various doctors that maybe I was just "too heavy for those types of activities." Upon first examination of this product, I thought it looked kind of cheap, but figured that for the price I could afford to take a chance. Thank goodness I did! As for the quality, I've been wearing them six times per week for the last 6 months and washing them (by hand) twice weekly, and they are still going strong! I am once more tapping, leaping, and kicking up a storm. I wear them barefoot for Tae Kwon Do (they stay in place wonderfully), and with my shoes for dance. I would definitely recommend giving this product a try.

Pro-Tec Calf Sleeve Pro-Tec Calf Sleeve

Reviews

I just got these in and put them right on. First thing to note is that these are not sold as pairs, it's one sleeve. This isn't explicitly stated anywhere on the product page, however, neither does it state or imply this is a pair. I ordered two. I'm am barefoot/minimalist runner and have been running in manner for about 7 months now. A common complaint when transitioning to this style of running is calf pain which are weaker than they would naturally have been if you lived your life barefoot. For the most part I've past the transition phase and my calf muscles have really developed since I began this. Barefoot running utilizes your calf muscles more than shod running, and I've found I get discomfort I believe to be related to Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (Doms). There is evidence that suggests that compression can reduce Doms and is why I purchased this item. They are very comfortable and it seems there was instant relief of my Doms when I put these on. I have not tried another brand so I am unable to make any comparisons, however, I very please with the item (s) that arrived. The item shipped and arrived very quickly via first class mail.

Got product in a timely fashion and my son is wearing the calf sleeves every day for basketball practice and games.
