Luxury Terry Cloth Bath Pillow Luxury Terry Cloth Bath Pillow

To the point: The suction cups don't stick and quite frankly, it feels cheap. I do have to be fair however and say it really depends on the type and surface of your bathtub. If it has a wide, FLAT, smooth surface (such as the one in the picture) then it just MIGHT work. Even in our large garden tub, it will stick for a while, and then it abruptly comes free. There has got to be a better item out there than this one that is soft, comfortable and has a way of attaching to a tub without having to constantly reposition and re-stick the suction cups. In the rare chance that they do stick, they slide relentlessly once you are laying down so the pillow has to be repositioned for comfort. My advice: Look around and be sure before making a final purchase.

This is a very fine pillow. It is one of the best bathtub pillows I have used, and I've used a few others ones before this one. The Cloth is a high quality, and the cushion air contours are in the right place. The pillow was larger than expected, larger than the ones I've used before, which was nice as it covered most of my back. Great bathtub pillow!

"Service was fine, price was good, but the item leaked immediately and therefore was useless. Returned. "

This bath pillow is better than the expensive one I purchased previously. The cloth makes it soft and comfortable. This was definitly a great buy!

I ordered this pillow for my wife at Christmas time. Her old one died a couple of months ago. I honestly couldn't understand why she wanted or needed a tub pillow until I tried it myself. Talk about pampered!!! Man, I'm here to tell you it's great!! She is happy with this selection as am I. Thanks Amazon... B Wasden

Farnam Comfort Zone DAP for Dogs Diffuser, 48ML Farnam Comfort Zone DAP for Dogs Diffuser, 48ML

Reviews

I can't decide if I think this stuff works or not. We are seeing some better behavior, but it could be because we're being more proactive. Still, the diffuser may be helping some when we aren't present.

I recently rescued a 3 year old miniature poodle that has a severe case of Separation Anxiety. We are trying everything we can, from the Vet's Clomicalm to ease down the panic-barking, different training, and we even gave DAP a try. I guess our dog falls in the 20% of the population that does not see any benefits on DAP. Feel free to give it a try, but did not work in our case. Our dog only barks when left alone, and DAP was not the answer ... :(

This product is fantastic! We have a new puppy who cried all night--the first time I plugged in the diffuser the puppy slept through the night! I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a new puppy. I definitely think it's helping to calm our older dog as well. She seems less anxious and more relaxed. What a great product!

The adapter claims alot of good thing that will happen with your pet when they smell the hormone. Not all of them were really effective and I still had a dog that acted a little too energetic. It worked better with the female than the male. The separation anxiety wasn't reduced with mny 6 months old male dog. Also, the difuser seems to be on the high end heat setting ( can't change that) that you can actually see how the fluid dispenser turns brown from running that hot.

We have two dalmatians and this product did not work for us. When they both were puppies, we thought the Comfort Zone would help them when we went to work (being separated from us for about 7 hours each day). Our one dog actually jumped on the wall (it was a high outlet) and ripped it down. We came home to a chewed plug-in! Did not work for us.

Average Rating:

Reduces or completely stops stress-related behavior including: barking, whimpering and whining, chewing, urination and defecation. Also reduces or eliminates separation anxiety. Calms dogs during thunderstorms and fireworks or when left home alone...

This product seems to work well for my dog. He's a rescued, 6 yr old German Shepherd, and had 'accidents' because of separation anxiety. He seems much calmer since I started using the DAP with no accidents when I'm gone 3 or so hours, so I'll continue to use it. On the down side, the refill seems to empty before the end of the month. I also plugged it in to an outlet under my range hood, and the stuff collected on the hood and ran down the wall. It seems to do better in an outlet on a wall with nothing overhead, but any plug that's plugged in above the diffuser still gets coated with the product. Over all, I do plan to continue its use, but will check to see if I can find a DAP diffuser (instead of the Comfort Zone) since it seems to be emptying overly fast. Not sure if there is one, but will find out.

I had my doubts when I purchased this products, but IT WORKS! I have a very nervous dog that would have accidents at night and was up walking around for no reason. Since the DAP there have been no accidents and she sleeps through the night. Wonderful! :)

When I moved into my new house, I was confronted with an unexpected problem. My 13-pound dog started marking everywhere, and she'd do it right in front of me. I was stunned because in the 12 years I've had her, she's never exhibited this type of behavior. I tried everything I could think of, and finally I went to the vet. There was nothing wrong with her, and they suggested I try DAP. Believe me, I was very skeptical. But I was tired of cleaning the carpet and willing to try anything. I paid an outrageous $50 at the vet's, but honestly no longer care. I plugged DAP in, and within 24 hours, the problem was solved. I used it for a month, and never had to use it again on that floor. However, it only fixed the problem on the first floor of the house. I had to plug it in downstairs to make her feel okay about that level too. But then she was fine.

I highly recommend DAP in general. We started out with the DAP collars for an anxiety stricken whippet. She would work herself into such a frenzy every day when we left for work that she would have loose bowels all over her crate. Talk about a nightmare to come home to every day. The DAP collar was recommended by our vet and it gave our dog peace. It relaxed her enough that she no longer soiled her crate. But that was the only change that we noticed in her personality. So I would say there were no negative side effects. The DAP collar became a bit pricey as they only last a month. The benefit of the collar is that it goes where ever the dog goes. But our dog only had a problem in her crate while we were away from the house. So we decided to try the more localized diffuser. It works just as well. We unplug it when our dog is not in her crate to make it last longer.

My mother's dog is very nervous and will pace and howl when she leaves the house, or when the phone rings. The D.A.P. really calms him down, and instead of howling all day or a couple times a day, he completely stops howling. When the D.A.P. is running low, he starts to howl again, and we have to buy a refill to ensure that he remains quiet. With the D.A.P. plugged in, he just lies down and is calm and quiet for the whole day. It really helps cut down on his nervousness, and noise!

The Soul of Healing Meditations The Soul of Healing Meditations

Reviews

These are good, but of you want to listen to Isobel Aura's 22 meditations covering everything from Heavenly Relaxation to Death of a Loved One Meditation with beautiful healing music and a soothing british voice it is far superior to this and you are also left feeling healed, empowered and in control of your life. I would highly recommend Isobel Aura's Meditations.

I love this CD and use it quite regularly. It has helped me through some difficult health situations. I always come away feeling calmer and lighter after I listen to it. The Indian music used as background to Deepak's voice is not the usual and I like it a lot. It really adds to the experience. The CD takes about 45 minutes and you will want to listen to the whole thing.

This guided meditation CD has been extremely helpful to me. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a little assistance to jump start their meditation practice. Deepak Chopra's soothing voice and the beautiful music on the sound track really help to create a peaceful meditative state.

This CD is excellent if you want to be led into the zone and left there like a pet rock in a state of deep relaxation and meditation. It is one of the few guided meditations that doesn't irk by somehow giving verbal directions constantly even as you are trying to tune out everything.

The music is wonderful, taking you from a slowing down to a joyful expression of Divine Love. From watching your breath to an Ode to Solomon, your soul will be healed. From www.dailyom.com "Chopra saves his best for last. The meditations complete, he ends by reciting from the "Odes of Solomon": "You split me/ and you tore my heart open/ and you filled me with love." Over a tambourine, a cooing female voice, and a come-hither electric bass line, Chopra recites this ode in a way that encompasses the listener; perfect love is at work in these words, guiding Chopra's beneficent intent. "I have become like paradise," he notes. "And because I have become like paradise/ my soul is healed." Your soul can be healed too; no effort is required beyond playing this disc and letting yourself be guided by Dr. Chopra's melodious voice."

Healing Sounds of Nature - Thunderstorm, Rain and Ocean Waves Healing Sounds of Nature - Thunderstorm, Rain and Ocean Waves

Reviews

It says there is 2 different tracks with different sounds but I can't tell the difference. Both tracks sound the same...... waves, rain and thunder. Doesn't really matter but I wanted just waves, not thunder. Actually, the thunder made it difficult to relax while meditating, you'd just about get relaxed then BOOM, it would tense you up. It's probably just me, I'm very hyper, but I wouldn't recommend this to relax.

This product came within a few days of purchasing it! I usually have a hard time falling asleep, though I have never been able to listen to the whole cd without falling asleep; very soothing.

Finally, I can sleep all night without waking up 2 to 3 times a night from the noise of city living. Ocean wave on repeat play by my headboard drown out all other noises so I can rest. Best thing I have done lately for my sanity.

I love Nature sounds, this is a very good recording, the sound is clear and majestic, relaxing and healing

My wife has difficulty in going to sleep. We have been playing the CD when we retire and to our surprise she had been dropping off without any trouble. I can't say that the CDis responsible, but am pleased with the changes, as is she,so we are not going to knock it. I must admit that I too enjoy it.

Theta Meditation System: Let Go of Stress, Renew Your Spirit, Gain Insight, and Intuition Theta Meditation System: Let Go of Stress, Renew Your Spirit, Gain Insight, and Intuition

Reviews

I purchased this CD on the recommendation of a close friend who had been using the CD. It definitely helps calm the mind and allows one to go into a deeper meditative state. It achieves what I hoped for and I use it several times a week when I am needing a more relaxed and pensive state. Highly recommend.

Two CD's were included in this set. They were not the original CD's which should have come under this title. I am very disappointed with this order and I cannot find a way to return it via the website.

When you read something like "Renew Your Spirit, Gain Insight, and Intuition" it should immediately raise the red flag. Somebody is selling snake oil in mp3 format. This so called music is more of an annoying noise. Do yourself a favor spend that money on some quality classical music. You'll get a whole lot more enjoyment.

This Theta Meditation CD is so good- I use it with my patients daily. If they are anxious, didn't sleep good, feel out of sorts or in physical pain- it is such a centering tool. Patients say it is "better than an ativan", "where did I go?" ...just amazed at their results. I am no longer surprised. It consistently works and people feel better. (Marianne Z.)

I highly reccomend any of Dr. Jeffrey's CD's to anyone over-high priced competitors. My one suggestion for anyone buying this CD is if you are going to use it FOR MEDITATION PLAY TRACK 2 FIRST!!! I say this due to a slightly mischievious piper solo about 10 minutes into the first track. This could be distracting at for unwinding. However, I recomend using this CD at night to increase chances of lucid dreaming. Always play track 2 first.

Stress Relief Yoga for Beginners [VHS] Stress Relief Yoga for Beginners [VHS]

Reviews

Although this DVD is marketed to beginners and is included in Gaiam's "All Day Yoga for Beginners," this is NOT a beginner's workout. This 20 minute workout moves quickly from pose to pose, using the Yoga name rather than a descriptive phrase, i.e. "Begin in mountain pose" rather than "begin by standing erect." forcing the student to constantly refer to the screen. Many of the poses require more balance and flexibility than a beginner possesses and no intermediate or substitute poses are given. Instructor Suzanne Deason's only concession to beginners is the use of a block to lessen the stretch of some of the poses. I would NOT recommend this to a beginner looking for a relaxing routine.

I have found after doing the exercises, the restlessness in my legs is gone, and I am able to sleep well. I focus on the exercises related to my legs, which are many, and simple, even most elderly people should be able to do many of these.

I'm a beginner in yoga, and do not have mats or anything, but I got this tape for stress relief. Unfortunately, after watching the video, I found it would be very difficult to do w/ out all the blocks, mats, and straps. Buy them first, or don't buy this tape. Otherwise, a good film... I watched it while I was eating popcorn. It still lies on its shelf waiting for the day I give in and buy the block set.

It adds to my stress level to try to keep up with Suzanne Deason! The pace of this video is very fast, most poses are only held for one breath. So I found I was spending a lot of effort looking up at the TV, and was not getting the mental grounding effect that I was looking for. I much prefer Patricia Walden's PM Yoga, which has a lot of the same poses but at a more relaxed pace.

The movements are good in this video and they are great for a beginner, but the speed is unbelievable. It's like they crammed as much as they could into 20 minutes. The poses change so fast. At the beginning, I couldn't believe how fast she goes. The pace slows a little and by the end you are more relaxed, but only still recovering from the fast paced first half. Like I said, the movements are good and a nice program for beginners, but the pace is by no means a good one for stress relief. It should be called Yoga for those in a major rush. This series of videos is outstanding. I have never been disappointed in the past. I recommend looking in this same series, but another video.

Yummy Yoga: Gentle Stress Relief for the Hips, Back & Neck [VHS] Yummy Yoga: Gentle Stress Relief for the Hips, Back & Neck [VHS]

Yummy Yoga is based on Somatics developed by Thomas Hanna and not traditional yoga. Somatics doesn't advocate stretching as much as retraining your muscles to relax and let go of tension. This is a very simplified explanation of what Somatics is all about - if you are interested in finding out more about it, you can buy the book that Thomas Hanna has written (called Somatics!). The time committment for the lower and upper body routines is about 40 minutes and ends with an all over body relaxation. I am not sure if it is feasible to split the upper and lower body routines. I find that the best time for me to do this DVD is in the evening as it is totally relaxing and allows for a very deep sleep - this in itself helps to relax the muscles and recover from chronic pain. The routines are not especially difficult although if you are not good at verbal cues, I would suggest watching it all the way through to get an idea of what you the movements are supposed to look like. I noticed a significant improvement after the first time I followed this DVD - I try to do it every night and the result is that I have more core strength and much less pain. I consider it money well spent.

This routine is the best thing I've found to relieve sciatica. It may take a few tries to get these moves completely right, but they are not difficult, you don't have to be in great shape to do them. I've found this to be more helpful than chiropractic, massage, and other yoga dvds. Actually, this isn't really yoga, but that's not an issue for me because I'm just glad to find something to relieve the sciatica.

I first found Yummy Yoga on my cable exercise on demand. I am addicted. I understand that there are some yoga fanatics out there who deem this too short a relaxation workout, or not even yoga at all. Too bad for them! For those of us with too little time and too much stress this DVD is a great jumping off point for relaxation. Whenever I am stressed or feeling tight or achy or tense I do this workout, (or as much as I have time for before the office calls or someone spills something or glues themselves to a table) and I am immediately feeling better. I do not regularly practice yoga, but anyone can (and should) try this DVD. It is a great beginning to relieving some stress in your life and realizing that some muscles are chronically tight, and need a little TLC. When I am aching this DVD is a gift, and taking the short time to do it is a gift to myself.

I was really looking forward to receiving (and using) this DVD. A Kripalu yoga teacher, somatics. . .I expected a great DVD. I have chronic lower back pain and fibromyalgia and even though I have plenty of resources, I like to get new ones once in a while to mix it up. I just finished doing the 40 minute session and I was underwhelmed, to say the least. First off, Ms. Rypins talks much too fast for a relaxation session. Even for some simple poses and movements, I realized I just did not take in what she had just said. She had either spoken too quickly or just plain used too many words! Additionally, 20 minutes for the lower body and 20 minutes for the upper body is way too short a span of time, IF there are so many movements, as there are on this DVD. Both Kripalu yoga and somatics stress getting more in touch with your body. Having enough time to really feel what you are doing is of the utmost importance. I felt quite hurried using this DVD. I didn't have time to relax and I didn't have time to feel any release. I can see others were quite happy and achieved good results with this DVD and I'm happy for them. Even though I don't enjoy giving poor reviews, I felt it was important to give my opposing viewpoint. I'm sorry I had to do so, though, because Kripalu yoga and somatics (both through Hanna and Feldenkrais) have improved my quality of life tremendously. The best thing I can say about this DVD is that it's "better than nothing" if one doesn't have much time to practice yoga. I seriously doubt I'll ever use it again. Please see my list "Oh my aching back" for recommendations.

I have been suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia (facial and neck nerve pain)for the past 4 months. This DVD has been excellent in helping me to relax and release muscle tension. The entire practice is very relaxing and the moderator has a nice calming voice. The only difficulty is trying to see the movements while laying down. Once you go through it a few times you figure out how to position yourself accordingly.

This is the best yoga video I have ever used. Barbara Branaugh has just the right tone, and the exercises are wonderful. You can choose what you need for that moment instead of following a whole routine.

Yoga is good for so many things, including help calm your mind and help problem areas. This DVD is perfect in its goal of having workouts to help with various stress related issues. Whether you have trouble sleeping or have days when you are carrying more tension in your back, there is going to be something that you can find here to use from time to time and the layout is easy to find what you want. Very clearly laid out with selections easy to get to and it is part of my yoga practice. No matter what level you are or what type of practice you normally do, such as ashtanga (which I also enjoy), there is still a place for this. Perfect yoga for what it is designed to do - relieve stress and make you feel better.

Being a yoga enthusiast, I wasn't thrilled with this DVD. It was broken down into too many categories and the layout was choppy. I always look for yoga DVD's that have 2 or 3 routines instead of all these short routines. Also I found the routines to be fussy with all of the folding of the blankets. I have purchased at least 6 or 7 DVD's on Amazon and this is the first time that I was disappointed.

If you are looking to relax this is the yoga video for you! No strenous positions, but several different from the main stream yoga videos I have seen. It is now on my wish list.

The backdrop and the presenter in this tape are pleasing to the eye at first; however, after a period of time, I found myself annoyed while listening and moving into the postures. The instructor kept up a steady flow of instructions; some were pertinent, but others were simply extraneous information, and it made relaxing and fully engaging in the moves distracting. Also, I was anticipating a yoga tape with moves that flowed from one into the other; this tape is a series of instructions in each segment that teaches one stretch at a time. When instruction for that one is completed, the scene fades out and an entire new movement begins. This would be a good tape for someone who wishes to just focus on individual movements or stretches.

Yoga For Every Body (With Over 35 Routines) Yoga For Every Body (With Over 35 Routines)

I ordered 3 videos and liked this one the best. I like her voice. I like the pictures, how easy it is to see them. I like how easy it is to get to the exercise, without a lot of stuff to listen to before it begins.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Can take the exercise easy or work hard. Good for stretching and body pain as well as exercising.

If you need to get your body ready for anything, including your golden years, there is a starting point on this cd. I am 67 and have breathing problems, which have improved (per my doctor) 100 percent since I started the EASY - beginner routines. This instructor tells you when to back off by WHAT you are feeling. The routines run from 20 minutes upward. I am still working on the beginning routines, but am looking forward to graduating to medium levels soon. Although I felt better after the first week, this is not a "quick fix". But if I miss a day or two, the positive effects continue. Great for beginners who will watch routines, listen to instructions, practice the poses, and then do the routines. Have recommended the cd to friends and family members.

Without knowing much about Yoga dvds Yoga for Every Body was one of a few that I ordered. It turns out that it is the only one I use. I followed her advice and didn't push myself too hard. When I started I went to the Beginner series but now I can do the Intermediates. I never saw Ms. Gormley smile which imparts that this Yoga exercise should be treated respectfully. (note: she might have a hint of a smile in some of her more difficult routines). I just needed something to do that would motivate me and it has. I eat better. I am more disciplined because you have to wait 3 hours after eating to exercise. Also, my body feels more comfortable when walking and bending over in daily life. I called this review Horse to Water because I bought this DVD for my two sisters and my daughter but they won't even pick it up. If you get this, have a sense of humor especially when you endlessly seem to do 'downward dog' but there's major payoffs and nothing weird.

Using it has helped my neck, shoulders loosen up! The yoga will work all sections of your body. I think we all should use some of these movements every day to keep movement free in our bodies.

Office Space - Special Edition with Flair (Widescreen Edition) Office Space - Special Edition with Flair (Widescreen Edition)

Reviews

There are a lot of funny movies out there, but not many can be said to have so perfectly skewered their subject that they become archetypes. "Office Space" fits this latter category, doing for the modern, post-1980 workplace what "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" did for the Arthurian legend. That is to say, "Office Space" has become a part of our common culture, with shared concepts like "pieces of flair" and "Is this good for the COMPANY?" being common to the experience not only of cubicle slaves but all of us. Further, "Office Space", despite its outrageous plot, is just close enough to the truth of modern corporate America to hit home. Companies do promote incompetents and lay off their most skilled workers, all in the name of short-term quarterly profits. They do treat their employees like drones while rewarding upper management for cheating shareholders. To see this all turned against them goes a long way in explaining the success of "Office Space." It's a classic.

Office Space was made in 1999, and still relevant in today's job market. The sharp plot revolves around Ron Livingston as Peter Gibbons. His waking life is spent on a mind-numbing job in an office cubicle, reporting to eight bosses. He has two geeky friends that hope to raise in ranks at Initech, the company they all work for. Initech wants to downsize and increase profits by sending some jobs overseas, and eliminate others. Peter has a girlfriend that insists he go to therapy before they marry. He agrees and is hypnotized at a group therapy session. The overweight therapist that hypnotized Peter collapses and dies before he can take Peter out of the relaxing trance that makes him worry free. He is now open to do what he wants, not what he feels he has to do to fit in his bland reality. He was supposed to work overtime Saturday and Sunday, but sleeps through 17 messages from his boss and girlfriend. Peter goes back to work on Monday, not caring if he has a job or not. He decides to just leave, and no longer have to deal with his boss, (Gary Cole). However, Peter is reminded that his appointment with efficiency experts is now and he should go. Because he could care less if he has his job; his leisurely new attitude and total honesty about his work habits, the efficiency experts are impressed. Gibbons laughs that there is nothing to motivate him. The efficiency experts are impressed and ecstatic that they found a "button" to motivate a talented employee. He is promoted to supervise four people. On leaving, Peter sees that the efficiency experts plan to lay off his two close friends. The friends, along with Peter, hatch a crazy plot to get back at the company. The movie also follows the pathetic life of the office worker "Milton" and his red "Streamline" stapler. Milton moves from space to lower class space until his office is in the basement storeroom. Milton is key to the ending, as well as many laughs. The plot continues to develop, including Gibbons interest in a waitress (Jennifer Anniston) at the restaurant he takes coffee breaks at. There is also a scheme between Gibbons and his two friends on how to make money without working. The movie has some slow spots, but the laughs and parody of the realities of corporate culture make up a stunningly hilarious and relevant film.

What a waste of time and money. Stupid and not very funny. I gave this as a Christmas present to a friend and was totally embarrassed after we watched it together!

This movie is a modern day classic. Anyone with a 9-5 job needs to see this movie. John Cauley Initech Employee (Uncredited) Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. It satirizes work life in a typical 1990s software company, focusing on a handful of individuals who are fed up with their jobs. The film's sympathetic portrayal of ordinary IT workers garnered it a cult following among those in that profession, but the film also addresses themes familiar to office workers and white collar employees in general. It was filmed in Dallas and Austin, Texas. Office Space is based on the Milton series of cartoons created by Mike Judge. Office Space was Mike Judge's foray into live action film and his second full length motion picture release (the first being the animated Beavis and Butt-head Do America). The promotional campaign for Office Space often associated it with Beavis and Butt-head, leading audiences to expect the brand of humor of the creator's previous animated efforts rather than the relatively low-key ironic humor of the film. While not a box office success, the film has become a cult classic; it has since sold very well on VHS and DVD. Plot Peter Gibbons is a disgruntled programmer working for Initech, a company plagued by excessive management. Peter spends his days "staring at his desk" instead of reprogramming bank software for the then-expected Y2K disaster. His co-workers include highly strung Samir Nagheenanajar, who is annoyed by the fact that nobody can pronounce his last name correctly; Michael Bolton, who detests having the same name as the famous singer, whom he hates; and Milton Waddams, a meek, fixated collator who constantly mumbles to himself (most notably about his workmates borrowing his favorite red Swingline stapler). All four are repeatedly bullied and harassed by management, especially Initech's callous vice president, Bill Lumbergh. The staff are further agitated by the arrival of two consultants, informally known as "The Bobs," since they share the same first name, who are brought in to help with cutting expenses, mainly through downsizing. Peter is depressed, bored, and pushed around at work. He attends an occupational hypnotherapy session urged upon him by his girlfriend Anne. The obese occupational hypnotherapist, Dr. Swanson, suddenly dies of a heart attack before he can snap Peter out of a state of complete relaxation. The newly relaxed and still half-hypnotized Peter wakes up the next morning and ignores continued calls from Anne (who confesses to cheating and leaves him) and Lumbergh (who was expecting Peter to work over the weekend). Peter announces that he will simply not go to work anymore, instead pursuing his lifelong dream of "doing nothing," and asks out Joanna, a waitress who shares Peter's loathing of idiotic management and love of the television program Kung Fu. Joanna works at Chotchkie's, a restaurant that plays on TGI Friday's interior decoration and uniform standards (Joanna's hatred for her occupation eventually culminates in an argument with her boss and her being fired after she gives him the finger). Peter then begins removing items at work that exemplify his unhappiness (inspirational banners, a wall of his cubicle that blocks his view, and a printer that is prone to constant errors) and takes Lumbergh's parking spot. Despite Peter's poor attendance record, laziness and insubordination at work, he is promoted by the Bobs because of the positive impression he leaves upon them with his earnestness. Meanwhile, Michael and Samir are fired, seemingly a symptom of the disposability with which the consultants view most Initech employees. To exact revenge on Initech, the three friends decide to infect the accounting system with a computer virus, designed to divert fractions of pennies into a bank account they control. A misplaced decimal point causes the virus to steal over $300,000 in the first few days, a far more conspicuous loss to Initech. After a crisis of conscience and an argument with Joanna, Peter writes a letter in which he takes all the blame for the crime, then slips an envelope containing the letter and the money (in unsigned traveler's checks) under the door of Lumbergh's office late one night. He fully expects to be arrested the next morning, but his problem solves itself: Milton, after getting his stapler taken away by Lumbergh, being increasingly ignored, having to move to the cockroach-infested basement, and not receiving any more paychecks, finally snaps and sets fire to the Initech office building, having warned several times throughout the film that he would do so (Milton had actually been laid off years earlier; nobody told him, and he continued to come in to work and get paid due to a system glitch). Peter finally finds a job that he likes: doing construction work with his next door neighbor, Lawrence. Samir and Michael get jobs at Intertrode, a rival company. While helping haul away the rubble from the fire, Peter finds Milton's stapler and keeps it, saying "I think I know someone who might want this". The last scene of the movie shows that Milton has made his way to a resort in Mexico with the money Peter left in Lumbergh's office. Production Filmed primarily in Austin, Texas, the origins for Office Space lie in a series of four animated short films about an office drone named Milton that Mike Judge created, which first aired on Liquid Television and Night After Night with Allan Havey, and later aired on Saturday Night Live. The inspiration came from a temp job he once had that involved alphabetizing purchase orders and a job he had as an engineer for three months in the Bay Area during the 1980s, "just in the heart of Silicon Valley and in the middle of that overachiever yuppie thing, it was just awful". The setting of the film reflected a prevailing trend that Judge observed in the United States. "It seems like every city now has these identical office parks with identical adjoining chain restaurants", he said in an interview. He remembers, "There were a lot of people who wanted me to set this movie in Wall Street, or like the movie Brazil, but I wanted it very unglamorous, the kind of bleak work situation like I was in". Judge sold the film to 20th Century Fox based on his script and a cast that included Jennifer Aniston, Ron Livingston, and David Herman. Originally, the studio wanted to make a movie out of the Milton character but Judge was not interested, opting instead to make more of an ensemble cast-based film. The studio suggested he make a movie like Car Wash but "just set in an office". Judge made the relatively painless transition from animation to live-action with the help of the film's director of photography who taught him about lenses and where to put the camera. Judge says, "I had a great crew, and it's good going into it not pretending you're an expert". Studio executives were not happy with the footage Judge was getting. He remembers them telling him, "More energy! More energy! We gotta reshoot it! You're failing! You're failing!" In addition, Fox did not like the gangsta rap music used in the film until a focus group approved of it. Judge hated the ending and felt that a complete rewrite of the third act was necessary. Judge also hated the poster that the studio created for Office Space. He said, "People were like, 'What is this? A big bird? A mummy? A beekeeper?' And the tagline 'Work Sucks'? It looked like an Office Depot ad. I just hated it. I hated the trailers, too and the TV ads especially". Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman Tom Rothman conceded that the marketing campaign did not work and said, "Office Space isn't like American Pie. It doesn't have the kind of jokes you put in a 15-second television spot of somebody getting hit on the head with a frying pan. It's sly. And let me tell you, sly is hard to sell". [edit] Reception Office Space was released on February 19, 1999 in 1,740 theatres, grossing USD $4.2 million on its opening weekend. It went on to make $10.8 million in North America, barely recouping its production costs. On the Monday after the opening weekend, Judge received a phone call from Jim Carrey's agent. The comedian loved the film and wanted to meet him. Chris Rock called two weeks later. The film received mixed to positive reviews with a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 68 metascore on Metacritic. In his review in the New York Times, Stephen Holden wrote, "It has the loose-jointed feel of a bunch of sketches packed together into a narrative that doesn't gather much momentum". Roger Ebert gave the film three out of four stars and wrote that Judge, "treats his characters a little like cartoon creatures. That works. Nuances of behavior are not necessary, because in the cubicle world every personality trait is magnified, and the captives stagger forth like grotesques". In his review for the San Francisco Chronicle, Mick LaSalle writes, "Livingston is nicely cast as Peter, a young guy whose imagination and capacity for happiness are the very things making him miserable". In the USA Today, Susan Wloszczyna wrote, "If you've ever had a job, you'll be amused by this paean to peons". However, Owen Gleiberman in Entertainment Weekly gave the film a "C" rating and criticized it for feeling "cramped and underimagined". In his review for the Globe and Mail, Rick Groen wrote, "Perhaps his TV background makes him unaccustomed to the demands of a feature-length script (the ending seems almost panicky in its abruptness); or maybe he just succumbs to the lure of the easy yuk . . . what began as discomfiting satire soon devolves into silly farce". In 2008, Entertainment Weekly named Office Space one of the "The 100 best films from 1983 to 2008", ranking it at #73. [edit] Legacy Office Space has become a cult classic, selling very well on home video. As of 2003, it had sold 2.6 million copies on VHS and DVD. In the same year, it was in the top 20 best-selling Fox DVDs along with There's Something About Mary. The movie is also available on Blu-ray. Comedy Central premiered Office Space on August 5, 2001 and 1.4 million viewers tuned in. By 2003, the channel had broadcast the film another 33 times. These broadcasts helped develop the film's cult following and Ron Livingston remembers being approached by college students and office workers. He said, "I get a lot of people who say, 'I quit my job because of you.' That's kind of a heavy load to carry". People approached Stephen Root asking him to sign their staplers. The Red Swingline stapler featured prominently in the film was not available until April 2002 when the company released it in response to repeated requests by fans of Office Space. Entertainment Weekly ranked it fifth on its list "25 Great Comedies From the Past 25 Years", despite having originally given the film a poor review. On February 8, 2009, a reunion of the cast took place at the Paramount Theatre in Austin to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the movie, which included the destruction of a fax machine on the sidewalk. This DVD made an EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS GIFT. The person that received it loved this movie. Thank you for such a wonderful item.

I can't say much more that the other reviewers haven't already said. I've seen this movie several times and LOVED it. I worked in an office briefly, and while it wasn't exactly like what was in the movie, I do remember the tedium and boredom, and where I currently work, there's some managers that I just can't respect because of how... stupid they are. Some of the scenes were wonderfully choreographed or written. I loved the printer-smashing scene (which was actually spoofed in 'Family Guy' with Brian and Stewie) and the actors do a great job playing their respective characters, such as Milton Waddams and Michael Bolton. The almost emotionless character of Lumbergh was also rather memorable. I also loved the scene between Jennifer Aniston's character and her manager as they're discussing 'flair'. Overall a great movie.

Schiff Melatonin Plus 3 mg Melatonin with 25 mg Theanine - For Stress Relief and a Sounder Sleep - 300 Tablets Schiff Melatonin Plus 3 mg Melatonin with 25 mg Theanine - For Stress Relief and a Sounder Sleep - 300 Tablets

Reviews

This is the best melatonin product i've ever used and I've used many over the years. It just helps with your body's own circadian rhythm to help you go to sleep naturally, stay asleep and wake up with a groggy feeling. One reviewer says to take it within 30 minutes of going to bed. There are days I take it at 6 p.m. and not go to bed until midnight. Use it however it works best for you. I had no idea you could let it melt away on your tongue for faster results. I'm going to try this, especially when I don't take it until bedtime. BTW, I've read you can take more than 3mg (1 tablet). I'm taking 6mg now. So it is even more customizable for your own personal body chemistry! ENJOY!

I take one pill an hour before bedtime. I'm asleep within minutes after lying down. I stay asleep, except for my usual bathroom call, then I'm back to sleep as soon as I hit the bed. I have had a lot more dreams, no nightmares.

I personally have had problems with insomnia for a few months now, and before I could visit my physician and get a prescription for something stronger this helped me relax and get to bed sooner. My problem was that I was waking up in the middle of the night and my mind would race and I could not get back to sleep, and unfortunately this medicine did not help with that. It is a great value for the tablet count and I would recommend it to anyone having minor sleep problems related to stress, but if it lasts for an extended period of time something stronger prescribed by a doctor may be the route you may have to go as I did. Also, as opposed to other melatonin products, this one is a bit more bitter and not as sweet when they melt in your mouth. Not the worst taste ever, but bitter and not like candy.

I don't think this is working well for me. I've had much better luck with Natrol 5 mg. Those seem to help me fall asleep faster. I've been taking this brand for a couple months and I don't notice any difference between nights that I take it and nights that I do not.

this is my third time buying this product it just let you relax to get ready to sleep and i cannot sleep without it,, i just love it

These salts work great but have a dark secret...tub stains. They will leave colored ring based on salt type that is VERY hard to clean/remove.

I purchased this for my wife, to ease her stress when she comes home from work. I immediately could tell when I received the package what it was. This stuff is very very strong, I believe its the menthol. She loves it, and she says it helps her relax, which was what I wanted !

This product smells great and does the trick: you feel relaxed and your skin gets a spa treatment. Unfortunatly, the 20oz container will only last you through 3-4 sessions. You must use half a cup every time.

This entire line is just wonderful. The therapy stress and tension bath is an ultra-relaxing, clean & fresh smelling blend of bath salts. Recover from a very stressful day with bath oiI, bath salts, or body wash. After an aromatherapy bath like this, have a great night's sleep-naturally. Any of these make a terrific and very appreciated gift. Forget going to a spa-recline in aromatherapy at home! Your cares will just melt away- "Now, what was bothering me?"...............

I enjoyed the scent before getting into the bath, my bath was so relaxing. The bath salts lived up to the description.

Moshi Celesta English Slim Black Keyboard w/ Dust Cover Moshi Celesta English Slim Black Keyboard w/ Dust Cover

When the package arrives you can feel the quality. FEEL it. I loved this keyboard dearly. I used it for about a year daily at work, hours and hours. However, the finish where my hands rest slowly began to discolor. Human sweat is nasty stuff, but I paid 130 bucks for a freaking keyboard. It should be the best of the best. I still love it. But I love the memory of the day it came out the box.

Looks cool, VERY well built, but the orange letters on the black keys are impossible to see. Wish it was backlit, I returned it.

I recently bought a new "aluminum" iMac and it came with the new Apple slimline keyboard. I tried to like it ... really, but it hurt the tips of my fingers and I just couldn't get used to it. I'm a touch typist and I made repeated annoying mistakes due to the radically different feel. I went to the store looking for a replacement and found the moshi. Mine is a big black slab of aluminum and it feels very sturdy and nicely designed (very Apple Computer like) and the feel so far is very good. I can type quickly and accurately on it and it looks nice, even in black, sitting next to my new iMac. There is no software to install, and I didn't have any problems with applications or the OS (even Windows XP under Parallels) when I plugged it in. Some of the keys are oddly placed (like the OSX media keys) but I got used to it pretty quickly. The feel is more like a very good laptop keyboard with a little more soft resistence like a regular keyboard. Hopefully it will last for me, but I have to say so far I'm very satisfied.

emWave Biofeedback Stress Relief [Silver] emWave Biofeedback Stress Relief [Silver]

Easy to learn and use! This little device is PACKED full of great features! Measures many facets of stress and teaches you how to systematically relieve them. Gives practical and technical reasons on how and why it works -- for those who are right or left-brain types! Immediately I was really impressed about the accuracy of the measurments of my stress (both using either the ear sensor and/or the thumb sensor). It detected small variations in what your thoughts are and helps you manage those stressful thoughts/feelings. This helps you build the muscle of managing stress in literally 4 - 5 minutes a day. I just got one for my wife... and now just ordered one for myself (to take w/ me wherever I go)! Great product!

I tried both the emWave and the Stress Eraser. I prefer the emWave by a long shot. There are many reasons. First and foremost, the emWave leads you how to adjust both your emotions and your physiology in order to get yourself to the zone. This is useful for your daily work, sports or any kind of human endeavor. You can function with a clearer and sharper focus, leaving the stress behind. In contrast, the Stress Eraser focuses on breathing and the breathing rhythm which, while effective, is something you can learn to do by reading one of the many thousands of resources on meditation available both in books and online. Deep, rhythmic breathing is good. But ultimately, I felt that the Stress Eraser works at a superficial level and doesn't take you to as deep a level of resourcesfulness as the the emWave does. The emWave approach gets you to take control over multiple processes that are central to operating in the optimum state. The emWave, furthermore, has a lot of interesting research behind it that ties it the science behind it with what has been known for ages by religious adherents. Namely, the functional aspect of spirituality which operates "from the heart" has a measurable, quantifiable physiological component. Faith, love, and joy actually puts the mind and body into an optimal state. Wow! I knew it all along. But here's a device that not only teaches that, it helps you to get there.

I open the box in less than a minute I was using emWave. The rechargeable battery already had a charge (neat). The quick start guide was on a business card - very fast reading. After using it for a few minutes I read the users manual, very easy read. I've been using for a week and I found my stress level lower. I highly recommend this product!

It is a really cool product that actually works - It makes a great gift for stressed-out friends/family!

DaVinci Tool & Body Back Buddy DaVinci Tool & Body Back Buddy

The body back buddy is great. 4 stars. You can specifically target the area you want to massage. Short of having a massage by another person, this is a reliable product. 1 star for the Da Vinci tool. The ads say it has a hundred uses, they should have printed them all. I could only think of about three. But with its limitation, it does relieve some stress when put on the occiput.

For so long I had to beg for people to lend me a hand or an elbow. Most of the time there was nobody around to help me, so I am thrilled now that I can treat the trigger points on any part of my body without any help from someone else. If you have chronic pain, this tool can be a lifesaver! I recommend the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook to go with this so you can learn how to effectively treat yourself. I wish you well!

i got tired of people asking me about it in the elevator. now i will have one at the office and one at home. it is terrific. wish i had bought one (or two) years ago.
